Bookings for recreational tennis

• Courts are only to be used for the purpose of recreational tennis.
  
• Professional coaching on the tennis courts may not take place, other than by approved person, who have the prior written agreement of Indooroopilly State School.
  

Access to the venue and leaving the courts

• Access to the tennis courts is only permitted for the court, date and time specified within your booking confirmation.
  
• Hirers will be provided with a code that will enable access to the tennis courts at the date and time specified within your booking confirmation.
  
• If you are the only user of the courts please be conscientious and lock the gate when leaving the courts.​​
  

Operating hours:

• 6pm - 10pm on school days. The courts are reserved until 6.00pm for school activities.
• 7am - 10pm on weekends and in school holidays.

Lighting

• Light switches are located within the tennis shelter.
  
• Lights need to be turned on.
  
• Lights are set on a timer and will turn off automatically at 10pm
  

Hire rates

• Payment must be made at the time of booking
  
• The booking fee is set by the P&C
  
• Day Rate: $12/hr (to 6pm)
• Night Rate: $16/hr (from 6pm)
• Courts can be hired in 30 minute increments

Court numbers

• Court 1 is closest to the basketball courts
• Court 2 is closest to Moggill Road

• Children under the age of 16 must be supervised by an adult at all times during their use of the venue.

Damage

• ​All users of the tennis courts must not damage, deface or mark any part of the venue. 
• Hirers are fully responsible and liable for any damage caused by you to the venue.​

Other users

• The hirer must ensure all users included in their booking comply with the terms and conditions.
• The hirer is fully responsible and liable under the terms and conditions for any breach ot the terms and conditions by any user of the venue included as part of their booking.

Wet weather

• Please be aware that the courts will be unplayable after prolonged heavy rain.
• Determination of playability during wet weather is at the sole discretion of the user.
  
• Courts get slippery when wet.
• A full credit can be requested and subsequently applied to a customer's account when a booking is unable to be used due to wet weather.
• This credit can be used against any future booking.
• Credits are not issued without written request.
  
• No refunds are given.

Court hire cancellations

• A booking may be cancelled up to 6 hours prior to the booking time and a credit given for future use.
• No refund will be given.

Extending playing time

• It is the responsibility of the hirer to finish play at the designated time. 
• Where a court is vacant at the expiry of the booking period, the booking may be extended online, in which case an additional charge is payable in minimum half hour increments.

Credit card changes

• Ezidebit is used for secure online payments
• The charge for court hire will appear on customer's statement as: Ezi ISS Tennis Hire

Player safety

• It is a condition that users of the tennis courts undertake to use the facilites in a safe and cautious manner at all times.
• No food or drink can be taken onto the courts apart from water bottles.
• No glass containers of any sort are permitted.
• Appropriate footwear is required (no barefoot tennis) – sports shoes such as runners, tennis shoes and trainers are permitted.
• No pets, skateboards or bikes.
• Courts are for tennis use only.

Liability

• Queensland Department of Education standard liability conditions apply as outlined in the Department of Education's "Hire Agreement". You will find the relevant details in PART 2 of the Hire Agreement as an attachment to the "Community use of school facilities" information located:

• Note, the form in PART 1 of the Hire Agreement does not need to be filled out to hire the tennis courts.​

Risk Warning

• ​​​​By hiring the tennis courts you acknowledge you will be exposed to certain risks, including the risk of physical injury, and that the use of the tennis courts is entrely at your own risk. ​
• You have voluntarily read and understood this risk warning and accept and assume the inherent risks in use of the tennis courts.

​Player Etiquette

• ​​​​​Please take all your rubbish with you and leave the tennis courts and facilities tidy for the next players to use and enjoy.
  
• Early morning and late evening players please be mindful of the local residents who live nearby. 
  
• Try to keep noise on the court to a minimum. 
  
• Smoking is not permitted within the school grounds, including on the tennis courts or within 5m of the school gates.​
  

Footwear

• ​All users must wear appropriate tennis footwear at all times when using the tennis courts at the venue​
