Parking and Traffic around
our school
We seek your support in keeping our “Stop, Drop and Go”
zones on Russell Terrace and Taringa Parade both moving and safe. The main ways you can help are:
- not stopping where the road has yellow line marking on the curb
- join the
end of the line of vehicles in the school loading zones
- move to the top of the loading zone before loading/unloading passengers
- remain in your car at all
times, ready to move up as the queue advances
- leave the loading zone within the 2 minute maximum waiting time
- stagger afternoon arrival times between 3:05pm and 3:20pm
A number of families choose to park away from the school and walk with
their child for drop off and collection. If you are parking,
please read the road signs carefully and make yourself aware of any time restrictions
that may apply.
We expect both the police and city council to be monitoring traffic
closely during the school year. Parking inspectors regularly drive around the school with cameras mounted on their patrol cars and may issue fines, including to those vehicles overstaying the 2 minute limit.
Please refer to the Brisbane City Council Parking Map to check where parking is permitted. Please note that restrictions may be altered by BCC at any time and the times displayed on signs must be adhered to. Remember that yellow line marking on the curb indicates no stopping zones and vehicles must not wait there.
The Frequently Asked Questions document developed by our Parents & Citizens Association is recommended reading to learn how everyone can work together to keep our community members safe on roads and footpaths near the school and in Moore Park.
